Frequently asked questions

Does this tool upload my APK or AAB file to your server?
No, absolutely not. The inspection runs 100% locally in your web browser memory using client-side JavaScript (WebAssembly and JSZip). Your intellectual property, proprietary code, and signing certificates never leave your machine.
What is the Google Play 16 KB page size requirement?
Starting Android 15, Google introduced 16 KB memory page size support. Google Play will require all app updates with native C/C++ code (NDK) to be built with 16 KB page alignment. Unaligned 4KB binaries crash immediately with SIGSEGV errors on 16KB devices.
Can I upload both APK and AAB (Android App Bundle) files?
Yes! Both standard APKs and modern AAB bundles (.aab) are supported. The scanner inspects base/lib, AndroidManifest.xml, and classes.dex in both formats.
Why does Google Play reject apps with READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission?
Under Google Play’s Photo and Video Permissions policy, apps that only need occasional photo picking must use the Android Photo Picker API (ActivityResultContracts.PickVisualMedia) which requires zero storage permissions.
How do I fix a 16KB unaligned native library (.so)?
Upgrade your Android NDK to r27+ and add the linker flag -Wl,-z,max-page-size=16384 in CMakeLists.txt or Android.mk. If the .so comes from a third-party SDK (e.g. OpenCV, SQLite, Realm), upgrade the dependency to its latest 2026 release.
